    POLYPROPYLENE / PVDF MOULDED PROCESS PUMPS

    The Horizontal pumps manufactured are of moulded constructions in P.V.D.F. or Polypropyelene for HCL, HF, H2SO4 etc. The Impeller is fixed on the shaft threading and is provided with suitable sleeve/ extensions in Hastelloy-C, Glass filled Teflon, Alloy-20 etc, suiting the chemical. A positive and reliable shaft sealing is provided to ensure that the liquid does not enter in between the shaft and the sleeve and corrode the non wetted parts easily. The pumps are with Grafoil gland packing or an appropriate Mechanical seal, of generally Sealol Hindustan make. The Bearing Block Adaptor is a separate piece and is made of Glass filled Polypropylene to avoid effect of the corrosion due to liquid leakage through the glands or atmospheric corrosion.

    The pumps are available upto 50 m3/hr capacities and maximum heads upto 45 meters. We also offer pumps of Glass filled Polypropylene constructions.

  • Self Priming Pumps for Clear Liquids

    A normal Centrifugal pump cannot be used for volatile solvents for negative suctions, because foot-valve elastomers give problems and the pump also faces cavitations.

    Self Priming pump developed by Polyquip, removes the above problems, but, can be used for clear liquids only. The pump is provided compulsorily with Mechanical seal, it does not come with Gland packing arrangements. It can take a negative suction pipe length of 3to4 meters, without foot valve. Initially, the casing only is to be filled with liquid to avoid damage to the seal due to dry running.

    Self Priming pump is provided with star vane type impeller and can be used for low capacities only, upto 50 L.P.M. and heads upto 40 meters. An ideal pump for underground storage tanks, barrel emptying and other applications. The pump is available in S.S. material of construction, only.

    A Rotary Gear Pump works on a principle of Positive Displacement. The liquid is carried around in the space in between the gear teeth and the pump body and constantly forced out, as the teeth mesh against each other. Due to this, the pumps generate high capacities and pressure to suit the application. The rotary pumps are available in different material of construction combinations viz: C. I. /EN-8, C.I./S.S.316 or S.S.304, Bronze / EN-8, Full S.S. construction ranging from sizes of 1/2" X 1/2" to 6" X 6", upto the capacities of 900 Liters per minute. When the pumping liquid is at higher temperature the pumps can be provided with jacketting arrangements to maintain the temperature in the casing. For high viscous liquids, the pumps are run at lower R. P. M. with the help of V-Belt Pulley or Reduction Gear Unit arrangements.



    The pumps will find applications for Furnace Oils, Paints and Pigments, Castor Oils, Gasoline, Inks, Seizing liquids, Soap Solutions, Acid slurry, Caustic Lye, Turpentine, Varnish and variety of other industrial applications.

    Pumps feature maximum interchangeability for minimumspare parts inventory, back-pull-out design for quick inspection or repair of the parts without disturbing electrical and piping connections. External adjustments for impeller and casing wear. Standard dimensions for pump and foundations. Self-venting casing with PN20 or PN50 flanges has maximum resistance to mis- alignment, distortion and has 3mm corrosion allowance. Semi-open impeller with back vanes is matched to casing for maximum efficiency and low NPSH. Casing and impeller have smooth contoured passages for best slurry and solids handling capacity. Casing and stuffing box can be provided with jacket for heating and cooling. Stuffing box is machined for Gland packed arrangement and mechanical seals. Bearing Assembly is oil lubricated with automatic level control, breather, magnetic drain-plug and optional jacket.

    Shaft is designed for maximum 0.05mm deflection. Pumps have L 10 bearing life of 17,500 hrs. Baseplates have drip-pan and only three sizes cover all pump sizes and applicable motor frames. Spacer type coupling is provided to take advantage of back-pull-out design.

    Pumps are supplied in all machinable Alloys including Hastelloy-C and Hastelloy-B. The service range includes Hyderocarbons, Corrosive Acids, Caustic Services, Slurries, High Temperature Liquids upto 260 Degrees Centegrade, viscous and freezing point fluids, outdoor and in-door installations and continuous or intermittent services.
